For reaching the highest peaks of the Bucegi mountains one can take shorter or longer hikes using the trails that are already marked.
The geographical settlement and the easy access to the marked hiking trails, makes Bucegi Mountains one of the most visited massif in Romania.

As the trails were marked long time ago, and because of the great amount of visitors, the majority of them are very well shaped and the danger of getting lost is low. Still, not knowing the mountain, the inadequate equipment and the bad weather can lead to accidents.

For being safe, one should take into consideration several things: get well documented about the trail you intend to follow, choose the trail according to the weather conditions, get adequately equipped and be in good physical shape.
